Participant 3. University of La Laguna (ULL), Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain The University of La Laguna is located in Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands. Today the University of La Laguna has 25,000 students, 1,700 professors and 800 administrative and service employees. The university offers 56 official undergraduate and graduate degrees. The scientists from the ULL that will participate in the project are members of the University Institute of Bioorganic (IUBO) and the Department of Organic Chemistry and all of them belong to the Marine Chemistry Group at IUBO. This group was founded by Prof. Antonio González and Prof. Julio Delgado in the early 70's and is one of the pioneer groups in Europe in this field.
